Read about the park and when visiting the area we took a stroll but although the paths are well kept (wheelchair accessible in the smaller loop that park run use) and some nice art work and ducks to spot
Liked the little animal /bird houses dotted here and there but got to say the land of the giants vibe was a little random - the chair was almost falling down from rot and the Lego dinosaur and ninja were just plain weird - the tooth fairy was scary and the tiny train seemed odd if it’s supposed to be a place to find giant toothbrushes, chairs and wellies
We left after a nice 5 mile walk but were confused more than entertained
Gates closed at 6pm too - be careful you don’t get locked in !

Nice flat walk around a lake and in the countryside on gravel paths, with little installations of interest to break up the walk at times. Wildfowl in places. Would benefit from a little more maintenance, though. Plenty of free parking, with a kids' playpark adjacent.

A wonderful facility to be enjoyed by children, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents and their pets! A tranquil, peaceful place to escape from the present lockdown. I did the full 5km today and felt so good afterwards. Nothing like this to be found in Dublin!

Friends brought us here for a walk. Lovely flat easy walking. Nice loop so you can’t get lost. Beautiful scenery. Great for kids or pushing a prank or wheelchair.

Great experience, with Grandchildren and dogs - many attractions to keep the little ones amused to find the next Giants object

This park is popular with all ages. Young families and elderly can enjoy the peacefulness and decide how far to walk. There are a few other activities such as a small maze for children. Land of the giants and fairy houses. The lake is adapted at places to allow wheel chair users to get close. And there are designated spots for angling

We had been visiting the area and I had researched this place as it looked intriguing. I nearly drove past but there is a car park beside it with a kids play area next to that. The park closes at 8pm.

Interesting sculptures and informative boards about the fishing and local wildlife. There is a bandstand area and picnic benches with a lovely backdrop of the lake.

The ducks and geese are used to being fed and definitely not shy! Unfortunately the heavens opened up so we didn't get to walk around the 5k track and discover the land of the giants.

A nice local park, come and make your own mind up.

We read a nice review of this place in the Sun newspaper, and on TripAdvisor, so we brought our kids here to see "The Land of the Giants" 🙄... The first thing we noticed was that there are ZERO rubbish bins. Not even small bins for dog waste. So you will see plenty of empty coffee cups and dog waste bags left by people. There is a sign at the start of the walk telling you to bring a picnic, but there are no picnic areas along the route (bar one table at the start). So leave your picnic in the car for when you get back. Along the walk there is a very poor selection of fairy doors and houses, which look like they were obviously hit by the recession. They could do with a lick of paint, if for nothing else but to keep the kids interested. Then there's the handful of dilapidated giant items, boots, chair, keys, guitar, a train track with no train. The kids, aged 5 to 12yrs were very disappointed. I do not recommend this place. It was a waste of a half a day of holidays ☹️

We travelled from Sligo, based on the suggestion in The Sun newspaper as a place to go - The Land of Giants.

It is very run down, benches over grown, and the monuments are in disrepair. The Lego Ninja figure is now home to a wasps nest; so you can imagine the panic when we noticed this as the kids got closer.

We had our dog on a leash of course and picked up after him - not very many other dog owners did this as there was dog poop all over the verges of the walk. There wasn’t even a bin to put the dog poop. Not to mention lots of other litter dotted around the walk.

While the walk was nice - I wouldn’t recommend it for the basics : littler bins, hygiene and general disrepair
