The Zongo Falls are located in Bas-Congo - 130 km from Kinshasa. It is a long 4 hour journey and travel from Kinshasa first half of the road is good and rest is filled potholes, ruts and loose stony or sandy ridges at the edges or in the middle of the road. Need special attention needed to drive this road.... More

It took us 4 hours from Kinshasa but it was definitely worth it. The roads are bumpy and a lot of traffic can be encountered. The waterfall itself is impressive - please note it involves a great amount of walking and little hiking to get to the view points. We had lunch at the resort which was pleasant with good... More

Rainy season visitors should beware and for us it was 5hrs drive both ways even after no rain return. The site is nice and well entertained with the owner in sight. While accessing the waterfalls area you can still be bothered by government officials asking for additional payments for pictures of the "governement property - waterfalls" ;)

Called Seli Safari Resort alongside Les Chutes De Zongo. The hotel was built fairly recently (last five years) and probably represents one of the few if not only tourist resorts in this vast country still struggling to modernise. About 4/5 hours drive from Kinshasa on a dodgy road (only 130kms!) but worth the effort for the scenic beauty. Sadly little... More

It was actually a long time ago that we were there. However, it made a huge impact on us all and we speak of it often. Most other falls are usually compared to Zongo in some way. Well worth the trip.

Spent 2 nights there with wedding celebrations of family members. The lodges are awesome, service is good, falls are marvelous. Spending both early morning and night is a must here.
