From tales of post-glacial Aboriginal hunters, through local Black settlements and later Irish and Scottish immigration to the area, this museum has stories to tell of the many families and industries set up here from the days when the Queen's Bush was under the axe and pioneers flocked to the area to earn their free land. Has plenty of information on local tourism, history and culture.

After visiting this local museum and getting to know the curator I must say they are certainly rising the profile of history in the area. The new curator has redone the museum after many years of displaying the same artifacts. They now have monthly speakers, are on Facebook plus do community outreach by visiting local schools. Don't let the looks of the outside of this building you as once you starting checking things out in this local museum that you will see there is lot's going on here. Local history is certainly coming alive here!
