The largest Antu lakes are Valgejarv (White Lake), Roheline (Green) or Vahejarv (Middle Lake) and Sinijarv (Blue Lake). The latter two are unique due to their singular bluish-green colour and transparency. The bottom of the lakes is covered with light lake lime which together with the surrounding nature gives the water its beautiful colour. Somewhere in a distance are other Antu lakes: Linaleo, Maetaguse, Kaanjarv ja Umbjarv which are small forest lakes with unstable banks surrounded by the boggy landscape containing a number of hiking trails.

The most transparent lake in Estonia
Aug 2014 • Friends
The beautiful area is made up by three lakes connected to each other: Valgejärv (White lake), Sinijärv (Blue lake) and Rohejärv (Green lake). The lakes have an unique bluish-green color and are amazingly transparent (because of the large springs that also make the water super cold). Sinijärv is actually even the most transparent lake of Estonia. The Valgejärv is kind of the only swimming place in the area and therefore also popular in summer. But there are grilling places and walking tracks around the lakes (ca 6km) and also other paths that lead to further away and are in total like 20km. There's signs everywhere so you won't get lost. But most likely you'll still be walking there alone or together with couple of fishmen. So it's a very nice getaway among forest lakes.
