The Clay Villa Plantation House & Gardens are a must in St. Kitts!! We are a family of 4 from Centrql New York on a RCCL cruise for Feb. break 2013. What caught my eye about this excursion was that we were entering an Enchanting Garden home to Green velvet monkeys, rabbits, cockatiels, love birds and tortoises, and much more.... More

As other have shared this was a very unique tour. We really enjoyed it. The owner and her husband gave a wonderful tour of this plantation that did not have slaves. This was especially unique as our RCL cruise took us to island after island that heavily engaged in the slave trade at one point or another. St. Kitts was... More

The Clay Villa Plantation is the home of Philip and Bridget. They have opened their beautiful home and plantation to visitors. This tour is definitely on the must see list. The gardens are beautiful and at times you feel as if your walking through a tropical rain forest. They take in injured animals so you see birds, turtles, monkeys on... More

For a shore excursion in St. Kitts, we took a trip to Clay Villa Plantation. We booked, on the net, before our cruise and were not disappointed. The transportation from the cruise terminal was prompt and comfortable and our driver friendly and knowledgable. After a short tour if the town we were greeted at the villa by Phillip, who escorted... More

During our port of call we visited Clay Villa, home to Philip and Bridgit Hurd. Set amid Carribean waters and rain forest like surroundings, the owners offer tours of their unique home, beautiful gardens and impressive vistas. Hesitant to book tours prior to arrival, our concerns were dispelled after reading Trip Advisor reviews; Clay Villa is St Kitts' #1 attraction.... More

This property has descended through several generations of a Caribe family. Bridget and her retired RN husband Philip are the current custodians. They use green practices to maintain the beautiful gardens. They also rehabilitate injured local wildlife, and have monkeys, tortoises, birds, etc. on the property. The house is filled with various collections, including some very interesting Carib and African... More

What a pleasant place to visit. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour provided by Phillip as well as the history behind the plantation. The grounds, buildings, and decor are unique and beautiful. A visit to the gift shot is a must (thanks to Bridgit).

I thoroughly enjoyed my tour through the delightful gardens and historic plantation house of Clay Villa. Phillip's narrative was informative, humorous and personal. A trip to Clay Villa will truly uncover a hidden treasure.
