Large Monastery and one can see monks living there, young ones running around and enjoying. It has a good museum at reasonable ticket price.

There is a lamp hall on the second floor on the adjacent building. It offers a serence atmosphere and a view of the town from... More

If you are on tawang trip, This one should be in your must visit. 2nd largest called monastery. Very peaceful, though it is newly created and I missed old/ ancient monasteries ambiance what I found in other part of country.

The Tawang Monastrey is oldest monastreys and is one of the major attractions of Tawang. The serenity that this place offers is incomparable. I would recommend to sit and have a me time inside the temple.

The landmark structure in Tawang; located in a hill-top such that it can viewed from everywhere; large campus with great people and colorful structures.
