Sela pass is on the route to tawang. In January it was completely covered with snow. We had to put chain on our cars from this point as it was impossible to friction otherwise. Hault here at least for few minutes. The chilly cold weather snow everywhere clear blue sky...it's just mesmerizing.

Sela Pass is at an altitude of 13700 feet and is the second highest motor-able pass. The road leading to Sela was misty and hardly had any visibility but just like magic, the car took a turn and there we are at Sela Pass;everything clear as if the mist was on a separate planet all together and we felt like... I had been here in 7 Jan 2017, The lake was completely frozen & last 3 days of snowfall had made the roads very slippery for vehicles to move. Chain is essential.

Sela is all that the reviews tell you and more! The fact that it is 13700 ft high up there, is evident from the chilly gusts of winds that hit you with such fury that you are forced to run for cover in the army run canteen for a hot cuppa & a steaming bowl of good ol' Maggi! If... More

Se la at an altitude of ~13,680 feet, on the West Kameng route, connects the popular destination of Tawang with the beautiful valley of Dirang. While it is only about 60 km away, owing to the road condition [average bad] & the twists/turns, it took 3 hours. However, when we reached there, the pass offered us the beautiful view of... More

A breathtaking view at a height of more than 13000 ft, surrounded by peaks from all sides the place is located around 100kms from bomdila. The temperature hardly goes above 0 C during winters.
