My wife and I paid for the package including transport to and from Ubud. The tour itself was mildly disappointing. Although interesting, it was short, and the guide was difficult to understand (slight speech impediment) and devoid of charm. In fact our driver blew the...More

We started our day tour with the POD chocolate tour. It was wonderful and relaxing. The tour guide so extremely knowledgeable and spoke many languages. We got a chocolate drink and were able to decorate elephant molds. There are elephants, bears, etc nearby to stop...More

I was very excited to see this chocolate factory, especially as a collector of funky global chocolate. The chocolate itself is great, but the factory tour is not. To be clear, I appreciate the philosophy behind Pod. It brings me joy to see a company...More

The Pod Chocolate Factory is nice enough. I took the tour which included the chocolate making experience. The guide Santika was good. I would recommend for future tours to make the chocolate first and then take the tour because the chocolate takes a very long...More

What a waste of time tourist trap. You pay 7 u.s. dollars for a shot of chocolate milk and to touch an elephant in a small enclosure. We drove 1.5 hours from ubud and left in a terrible mood since we lost the better part...More

Don't be fooled by the positive reviews. There is hardly anything to do here. They charge you way too much for only a welcome drink. Every other activity has to be paid for separately, and none of these activities is exciting or interesting. Complete waste...More

I booked the chocolate making and tour.... it felt like a total rip off and waste of a day. You watch the chocolate making and don't actually make the chocolate yourself rather you assemble your chocolate with your chosen fillings and wait for it to...More

We already have a driver for the day, do we have to pre-book tickets for the chocolate tour (if so from where?) or can we just turn up? What would be a good time to go and how long do we need to allow? (we r coming from Kuta). Thanks in advance

You are able to purchase tickets without reservation. Keep in mind that you will need to pay for entry to the reserve area where the factory is located. You pay at the gate but you are able to deduct money for the tour... More

I love the idea of seeing and getting up close with a honey bear, but am also sceptical to whether it is ok for the animals? I'd hate to contribute to a business that potentially mistreats animals etc.
