I suggest there should be some level of quality asurance with food preparation! Ordered a pork bap (supposed to be a Special!!). Bap was not edible - a load of fat and gristle in a soggy bap. Coleslaw was not edible - cabbage stale and rock hard and cut in large chunks - a challenge for the most resilient of dental fillings. We left quickly as I was on the verge of throwing up!

Although the restaurant part was not full, some of the staff seemed harassed and not particularly welcoming.
We were told there was at least a 15 minute wait and we asked if we could get drinks whilst we waited.
We were told many tables in front of us had ordered drinks and we would be served in the order that we arrived and that drinks came at the same time as our food.
The surroundings are pleasant so we were fairly happy to sit and wait although a drink would have been welcome.
Our drinks eventually arrived along with our bill. We found that a little strange as we hadn’t had our food at this point.
Our food arrived, and our particular waitress was very nice, not harassed like the other two and apologetic for the wait.
Our food was fairly good, the fries were almost cold, but the rest was enjoyable.

This dog friendly courtyard attraction is well worth a visit were it not for the unhelpful hostilities of gaining access and ridiculous solutions offered to the dilemma. How to get two pensioners and a dog inside ? My pensioner husband accesses through the shop , meets me at the gate . Then I lift the dog over then access via shop myself to meet them ?????
Management have decided to make the entrance gate into an exit only with a sign directing visitors to access via the shop. No sign to say dogs not allowed this access but the embarrassment of being reprimanded and turned away. The other access then given was via the donkeys yet that gate too had a sign which said No access Gate alarmed’. I wrote to Apley manage to appraise them of the problem and got a standard reply with vague apology that this was a management decision and staff will be willing to open the gate. Clearly ignoring the fact that this wasn’t the case. Come on Apley. We are regular visitors and you have a great business please rectify this .

Sunday 6/2/22 approx. 2.30pm.

This was obviously a busy time with lunches being served. Asked if it was ok for us to just have a couple of drinks. Shown to a table, given menus. We waited....and waited....and waited some more. Asked a passing waitress if we could order. She said it wasn't in her remit to take orders..but her colleague who was qualified to take orders would be with us soon. We waited....and waited....and waited some more. We noticed that people who had come in after us were served well before us. Eventually the qualified order taker arrived, took our order for a coffee latte and a super dooper de luxe chocolate. We relaxed in the sure and certain knowledge that soon we would be sipping our drinks whilst admiring the splendid decor. We waited....and waited....and waited some more - but the nights are getting lighter now so we didn't worry about getting home before dark. Rigour mortis began to set in when....all of a sudden our drinks arrived. Sadly, the marshmallows on the hot chocolate had not been able to stand the wait any longer and had melted into the drink. Naturally for these days - the really important business (To the cafe) was dealt with at 100 mph. Instantly the card reader for payment was presented (No waiting there!) and the expensive price paid. No 'giving the bill and waiting to be paid' as would happen in more relaxed establishments. It was a busy time, I know. But the impression (which is important!) was that the service was poor and slow and the rush to get the payment was slick and fast - and almost grabbing. I doubt I shall return.

Group of six of us pre-booked for breakfast. We were very impressed with the quality of the food the service and the price.

Particularly of note was the fact that we had two people with allergens in our party and all the food came out correct at the same time – not easy for six different breakfasts
Thank you

Just back from having an amazing afternoon tea with bubbles.I have experienced a number of afternoon tea's at various different places, but this one, wow, beats them all hands down. The quality & quantity undoubtedly was the best & what we couldn't manage to eat we brought home. The staff couldn't be more helpful & friendly & just the atmosphere of the Cafe was a delight. The lunches being served to the other tables were mouth watering, we will certainly be going back for lunch next time.

Cane here to do pumpkin picking with the kids in October half term.
We booked onto the pumpkin express which lead us to the pumpkin field and was read the story of the sqaure pumpkin by a lively and built lady . My kids absolutely loved it .
Great selection of pumpkins and great value for the money we paid .
Farm shop was fab we had hand made chocolates and pork pie with cheese at home that nice and it was beautiful 😍.

Great little park and rides on site too , kids were loving life running around.

Only down fall was the little farm on the place was not included and as we didn't know this the man inside the shed was quite abrupt with us as its on the same complex .
Overall great visit

This was our first visit for Halloween as we always miss the bookings and it is always sold out. So we thought it must be good. We have a 10 and 6 year old and I purchased a family of 4 pumpkin patch with spooky trailer ride and carving for two. This worked out to be quite expensive when you can buy pumpkins quite cheap, but I thought it would be a good experience.
We were on time for the trailer ride and it was nice for VERY young children but I expected something else clearly, maybe some spooky lights on the ride with some spooky music or sounds, but the lady just read out the Square Pumpkin story. Again, a nice thought but I clearly thought it would have been something else. We went a short distance around a field and arrived at the patch which was only 1 minute down a small hill from the farm shop.
The pumpkin patch is nice, loads of choice 2 days before Halloween and we all got a nice pumpkin each. There was a small fair ground rides but we didn't go on them and a park for the kids to have a mess around on.
We then made it back to the carving station, very disorganised, and needed a member of staff to keep on top of the mess and area. We carved one pumpkin and decided to do the rest at home.
The small farm area is £5 per entry, again we didn't go as the day was expensive enough without paying more and more to see some farm animals and rides.
I know farm shops are pricey but this really was an expensive 2 hours out. Had some lovely photos to remember but I wouldn't go again, I've been recommended other farms that are a lot cheaper to get a pumpkin patch experience in future.
