Mount Majura Vineyard is an dynamic boutique wine brand. The cellar door at Mount Majura Vineyard is set up to allow guests take their time tasting the wines by experiencing a seated wine tasting. Self guided ‘gumboot tours’ around the vineyard provide a more active option, allowing participants to learn more about viticulture. The vineyard is about 2 km from the northern end of Majura Road, or about 9 km from Canberra Airport.

This was a lovely way to spend an afternoon. The vineyard is located a short 20 min drive from the CBD. It is a small boutique estate producing some excellent wines. The service was great and the staff knowledgeable and friendly. We had a lovely and generous cheese platter ($20) to accompany our tasting. After tasting you can buy wine... More

My husband and I called into the Mount Majura Vineyard last Sunday on our way back to Sydney after a couple of days visiting Canberra. We had an enjoyable time enjoying the view and the ambience of this winery. We thoroughly enjoyed the wine, the hospitality of our hosts and the cheese platter we purchased was the best cheese platter... More

We decided to leave Canberra early and stop wherever we wanted on the way home. This was an excellent first stop. We tasted the Riesling, Pinot Gris, Molli, Sweet Molli & the Noble Pinot Gris. All were delicious but the Noble Pinot Gris was my favourite and the Sweet Molli my sisters. Also had the Tasting Platter for brunch -... More

My husband and a friend visited this winery again this year (it is an annual pilgrimage) for a tasting. Fergus, was at pains to ensure that the wines were fresh, tipping out those that were already open from previous days and opening new ones so that the boys could get the full tasting experience. Furthermore, he explained how the winery... More

While I agree that roads works and signage were a challenge it was well worth persisting. Had a fantastic tasting experience at Mt Majura. We were in Canberra and had time on a Monday, so our winery visits were shaped by who opens on Monday. So Clonkilla and Helm in Murambatem were our first two wineries- both superb. As we... More

The purpose of our visit was to buy great wine (albeit on a public holiday). Getting to the vineyard from the north was uneventful but the ACT Government has not signposted the turnoff very well. Basically look for vineyards on the hills and then a bridge over the new Majura Parkway and that will get you to the destination. Unfortunately... More

Pro tip - I love the Pinot Gris here, sur lie adds that creamy complexity that really gets me going. Very convenient location, just north of Canberra on a main highway. Nice tasting room and pleasant patio. Friendly and informed staff. I highly recommend.

This was our last winery and we though it would be down tge end of a track like all the rest. It is off the Mount Majora Parkway and very poorly sign posted so if you dont see the grapes sign early you will miss the turnoff. Nevertheless we found a services area to turn around and went back. Good... More
