The fortress is well preserved, they even ask you to wear hospital shoes in some rooms. The exterior is similar to the Gyula fortress from Hungary, but it is bigger. They even have the same water-filled moat. The inner courtyard reminds me of Siklos castle...More
Beautiful fortress and museum, well organised, with artist in medieval costumes and arhaic music inside. Surrounded by water with white and black swans. Souvenirs near the fortress gate. Very nice...

A year ago I arrived in Fagaras in the night so we couldn't visit it. Now we went during the day and went inside. It is a very nice fortress, well preserved, with a museum inside. It does worth to go there.
