When you are on Maui in Jan or Feb, you go visit the whales. By joining the Pacific Whale Foundation, we got a free trip, and discounts on the other 2. Plus, you get on the boat first, so you really have your choice of seats. 2 of the trips there were Cruise Ships in town, so the boat was... More

It is nice to support a non profit foundation. The staff was very nice and friendly, the BBQ was ok, not great but definitely better than a box sandwich. The Captain made several stops and we saw whales and spinner dolphins which was nice. The snorkel gear was well maintained and the location to see coral and sea life was... More

Professional and saw TONS of whales. It was one of the highlights of our trip to say the least. Would love to visit them again next time. Great organization.

I have been dreaming of going on a whale watching trip for years, so we were extremely excited to go on on our honeymoon in January in Maui! We loved the trip with Pacific Whale Foundation because they are a non-profit and provided an intimate experience. We went on a sunset trip and the Ocean Voyager had more than enough... More

We went to the early morning watch. It,was not crowded at all we share the boat with four other people. That was great because we could move all around the boat to see. We did spot two whales traveling together. We followed them. We had to be so,many feet away so it was hard to really see them. I guess... More

The tour guides were such a gem and very informative! They provided a fun tour that it made you feel you were taking a science class. The experience is a must with a non profit company doing great things for whale research. The naturalists dropped a microphone into ocean so we can hear the whales singing. Whale watching guaranteed or... More

We were a group of 4 ladies that had a great time. The snorkel part was okay, but the crew members were great. They were very knowledgeable and a lot of fun. Definitely spend the $10.00 to use the insulated top. The water is cold.

The PWF cruises are the best way to see these wonderful creatures and also support the research. Saw many whales and even got "mugged" You' lol need to cruise with them to understand that. Only improvement would be to wait until the boat is ready to board before you bring the passengers to the dock. Also organize the boarding process... More

The two hour watch was one of the highlights of my trip. The crew was very knowledgeable. The sights of humpback whales breaching near the boat was out of this world.
