This was once the summer retreat of Tipu Sultan. It’s a good place for hiking and birding. The hill also has temples dating back to the Chola period. It gets extremely crowded on weekends. The hills offer great views of the surroundings, though.

Ride from city to Nandi hill is very refreshing. Reach top of the hill before sunrise, and enjoy the view. Sunrise looks amazing from here. This place is very popular among people, so you can see a lot of people on the top. Still its a place worth visit.

In my opinion this place would be the place where couples would like most of it. You can touch the clouds that comes near you when hour passes. But other than sunrise with clouds there is'nt much views that can make you feel mesmerizing. But ya it depends on how you take.

Apart from view points, few more things to look at - Tippu lodge - Big well - Temple with good architecture at the top of HILL Few things to note: - Even if you take car inside , better... More

If u don't have much time to go for some place then go Nandi Hills as it is the closest place to bangalore town. Only attraction is sunrise so u should reach there before sunrise. Place will be very very crowded. No use for stayin long there.

Went with colleagues last weekend. Missed the sunrise due to long queue of cars. But still enjoyed the view from the top very much. The weather was nice and cool. Knowing that Tipu Sultan used to drop criminals from the top of the mountain added excitement to the experiment. Highly recommended for a short trip in weekends.
