We did a private guided tour around the Catherine Palace. Well worth it! Our guide was able to give us fantastic insight into the palace, it's history and it's inhabitants - as well as telling us how you can rent out the grand hall for special occasions!! New life goal there I think. The Palace is everything you expect it... More

Just a short distance from St. Petersburg in the town of Pushkin lies this ornate blue, white and gold palace built as a summer residence for Catherine the Great. The gardens are neatly manicured and the golden hues of autumn added even more allure! It's a palace one must not miss! Looking at the photos I took, I still can't help... More

Jaw dropping. Every room is just luxury on top of luxury. The park is beautiful in the winter with all the white snow. It is very nice to walk around in and free during the winter time! There is a cafe located in a building in the park that looks very nice. But I did not get a chance to... More

Behind the majestic iron and gold gates you will find the blue facade of the massive palace. The advantage of a winter visit is the lack of crowds. As we toured the rooms we were occasionally by ourselves and had... More

My visit in February meant fewer visitors so we had the place to ourselves. Some renovations are still going on but the majority of the state rooms are looking spectacular. Didn't get to walk around the park due to the snow.

This palace is one of my absolute favorites that I have visited in the world. Both the inside and outside of the palace are beautiful and definitely worth traveling outside the city to see.
