We were disappointed that there were no good hiking trails but the beach was beautiful. There is a zoo and a plant conservatory. Overall not worth the time to get there.

Free to enter, the Playa Grande is the main feature. The fort is also here (30 peso admission). They also have a lookout tower and and interpretative walking trail. Lots to do, and lots of places to just get away and be alone.

Enjoyed green house with many plants inside. The fort is interesting. Lots of birds at the bird observation area. We saw 1 cappabarra, the only live wild mammal we saw in all of Uruguay. We saw road kill skunks on the way. I think there...More
