Best trip in Italy
Feb 2021 • Friends
Visited here before COVID with a group of friends and spent the day here. Watched them make mozzarella- which was heavenly and literally melted in my mouth. The pizza they made with it was divine. having lunch from ingredients from their organic farm was delicious. They gave us each a yogurt-for putting in the cold bag (bring one with you if you go) for breakfast the following day. After lunch we walked to their ice cream parlor where we had gelato from the milk of the Buffalo. Ben and Jerry’s doesn’t hold a candle to this organically made gelato! When the Buffalo are at the end of their life span their hides are made into the softest purses money can buy and the farm, being a non-profit has the top Italian designers (Prada, Fendi, etc) creating designs for the leather to be made into bags, wallets, belts, etc. the window overlooking the works room is so you can watch the items being made. We even brought home some soap made of the milk of the Buffalo. Beautifully packaged for giving as gifts. It makes such a Soft lather and each time I use it I think of TENUAT VANNULO & wishing Covid could go away so I can go once again! After you leave head to Paestum to see the Temples left thousands of years ago by Greeks who settled in the area.they are in perfect shape and a tour of the museum is not to be missed. An English speaking guide can be hired there and is worth it!

Best Buffalo Mozzarella on the planet!
Sep 2019 • Friends
My friend and I toured this buffalo dairy farm as part of a full day in Paestum. Our driver, Umberto, from Excursions and Transfers—Sorrento, highly recommended the product and the experience! He was not wrong! We arrived already having a reservation for a tour in place, which is what you want to do if you really want to see how the buffalo live and work, and how the dairy makes the cheese, and other products! I love that the dairy grows their own organic food to feed the water buffalo and that the buffalo get to take take breaks with massages!🙂 I guess happy buffalo make tasty milk, because the cheese was the best I ever tasted! I’m only sorry we were leaving Italy the next day which prevented us from buying a host of their products! The yoghurt tasted phenomenal! We also had lunch in the restaurant, which was so tasty!

Must See!
Oct 2019 • Family
This tour is the best value in all of Italy! For five euros you tour the farm and have some fresh mozzarella!! Don't forget to reserve your mozzarella and ricotta to take with you ahead of time...They run out!
We also ate lunch there. It was inexpensive and a gastronomic delight!

Tourist Trap
Oct 2019 • Couples
Was so looking forward to visiting but when we arrived there were plenty of tour busses. It seems disorganized and no one was willing to answer questions. It is not what we expected. It appears to be a giant tourist trap. Don’t waste your time.

interesting impressions conveying difference between quality and junk

Luckily Tenuta Vennulo was an option on our tour towards Naples. So as big fans of mozzarella we decided to stop there. We read that we could join a tour over the area. So we made sure (that is what I highly recommend to you) to secure our places in advance. So I contacted them by e-mail and made a reservation as the tours are very demanded. For just 5 EURO you will have an approx 45 min guided tour around the area, showing you the stores, the stables, the production (through a window), and at the end you will have the chance to taste the freshest buffalo mozzarella of your life - directly out of the production from next door. So can go around the area without paying 5 EURO but you will not get the detailedfexplanations from the guide. It is your decision. We arrived by rental car and luckily there is a plenty of parking lots there. We arrived bit earlier than the tour. So we started with a small breakfast in the cafe. We had some coffee, cakes, yoghurt -all from buffalo milk. Me, I had ultra-fresh ricotta combined with their own bitter orange marmelade. DELICIOUS! After the tour we went for some ice cream which was okay, but not as impressing as the other products we had tasted.
So all in all I can highly recommend a stop at Tenuta Vannulo, ideally a tour. And if you are interested in a tour, make sure to contact then in advance, to secure your places at the time of your arrival. You need to pay cash(!) after the tour.

Excellent lunch with fresh dairy
Oct 2019 • Friends
3 of us Went here for lunch one afternoon and showed up without a reservation, they were able to squeeze us in after 30 min but would suggest making a reservation ahead of time
My husband ordered their house made beer which he said paired excellent with all the food we ordered
We just had table water with our meals
We all shared the buffalo mozzarella and ricotta cheese plater and the cured ham plater. The offer house made olive bread with a plain and herbed butter made from buffalo milk... excellent. My friend Lynn and I both ordered the stuffed zucchini blossoms which were also excellent. Lastly we ordered the tomatoes salad and zucchini lasagna to sample.Did I mention they grow their own veggies and herbs right next to restaurant. Overall excellent lunch at a very reasonable price of 39 euro
Would recommend to anyone

Our hotel called to make an appointment to visit however no one picked up the phone and we ended up leaving while our hotel continued to call trying to make an appointment. Because of this we ended up being 30 minutes late to the appointment for a tour that was booked through our hotel. Once we arrived they were very unfriendly and told us no tour was possible however there was still a tour going on!! We ended up doing the visit ourselves and there was not very much to see. Then when we asked to try some of the cheese, they said it was only for those on tour... Disappointed is the least i can say that we were. Don’t waste your time.

A worthwhile and delicious trip to this wonderful caseficio!
Jun 2019
We loved our trip to Tenuta Vannulo caseficio. I am an animal lover and was pleased to see how well the water buffalo's were treated. With massages and showers and music. Yes music. The buffalo's are milked to produce the areas richest mozzarella and we saw the process and of course tasted this amazing cheese. This is a very informative tour and you can purchase the products that they make from the milk of the bufala. A must stop on your Cilento vacation!

Best Ricotta Cheese Ever!
Jul 2019
We recently took a family trip to Spain and Italy. While in Italy, we decided to make the trip from Salerno to Tenuta Vannulo and were glad we did. Our children enjoyed seeing the water buffalo and we all enjoyed the yogurt, cheese (buffalo mozz and ricotta) and lunch restaurant. The ricotta stuffed fried zucchini flowers at the restaurant may have been the best dish we had during this most recent trip to Italy.
