After have seen lots of churches on top of mountains, this one is on the lake and this is its best feature, since it has nothing spectacular as other can have. But it's a good pit stop if coming after some hours of driving.

Not far from Sevanavank monastery, this one is also on Lake Sevan. Again, while in good shape, it's not too amazingly different from other monasteries, but this one had a hidden km long tunnel (now closed by the Soviets).

Not so many people come here, so it is a good alternative to Sevanavank, if you do not like to deal with tourists! Either take a minibus from Sevan, or hitch hike.
The monastery is near the lake Sevan and to reach it I made a pleasant walk to the hill where there is a nice view on the lake. The monastery is small but attractive.
All places in Armenia are very nice and conciliative: one of them more, others - less, but this place are very interesting, countryside around is very picturesque.
