A very fine museum with lots of interesting items well displayed. Touching some of the objects was encouraged, e.g. a Roman soldier's kit!

This museum is located on the site of the original Roman Camp, which was the largest north of the alps. It is simply brilliant, there are origional artifacts which have been excavated on display as well as many reconstructions of what Roman Legioners were wearing...More

Visited here with my daughter on a school trip. The place is amazing, very well laid out. Great exhibits and lovely atmosphere. Very open plan gives a sense of space not a cramped museum would go again.
