1 years ago I visited the city of Ternate. and I went to one of the most famous tourist spots "Lake Tolire". Lake Tolire is a very unique lake with a distinctive lake color and holds many legends ... This lake is located at the foot of Mount Gamalama, the highest volcano in North Maluku. tourist attractions managed by local residents. The view on the lake is very good, the price of admission is also very affordable.

If we use a vehicle we don't need to walk far to reach the spot. They sell drinks like coconut and food like banana chips (local cuisine, recommended to try) and the price is within reach for everyone. It's a really good place to sit and enjoy the view, not to swim or explore

One lake that holds so many stories. Access here is quite easy, with a relatively cheap entry ticket. Here, you will find a lake that resembles a giant hole with enough depth to amaze us. When visiting here, it was seen a crocodile which according to the residents had not appeared for a long time. Hopefully this is a good sign.

You should visit this lake where three crocodiles live in. But you must be lucky to see them if they cross the lake. Small restaurant with simple food.

It is a crater lake. The water is far down below in a huge circular hole. The surrounding is green vegetation with mount Gamalama in the background. The place is well-cared, good path and steps. Good to visit in the afternoon for the lake is well-exposed to the sun light

While the view was lovely the conditions of the site were not. There was a lot of rubbish, no bins and food vendors selling single use plastics. The safety of the edge left a lot to be desired and finally I was disappointed in the number of bird species to be seen.

The view was heart taking. Very good for taking pictures, but the activity and facility around were limited. If you’re lucky, you can see some crocodiles on the lake surface.

It is a beautiful lake for sure with the mountain as its background, the thing made me uncomfortable was the plastic bags. They sell the stone to be thrown to the lake using lots of plastic bags and soon after they finished thrown it they didn't manage to put the trashes into the right place and they thrown it everywhere. Sometimes when it windy you can ser the plastic bags fly into the lake

Along the way to reach Tolire Lake was really beautiful. I had a stop in the cliff that next to the beach, sat down and drunk a coconut water while waiting the sun went down. It was really peaceful at that time, not many people there as well as the hawkers.
