Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The fort was wel maintained, as well as the front yard. It is a small fort, facing the water front. The fee is up to the guest, it’s more like a donation.

The Entry is free, we took some photos. But when we want to leave the place, some old man, ask us for money (not specific amount) but we ok for that.

Well preserved fort, very near the sea and not very far away from Kuta Ternate. Very easy access by ojek . Near the fort other interesting places as Ngade lagoon or Panorama Cafe ( very nice views of the nearby islands of Maitara and Tidore)

The Kalamata Fort is a small wellkept fort with origins from the portoguese in 1540 - the starfort was built by the dutch in early 1600.

Clean and well kept. The fort is small and there isnt really that much to see but the way it is kept in shape is really amazing.

There are no entryfee but there is a goatherder who claims taking care of the place... I gave him 5000 rph.

Best preserved stonework fort in Ternate, but no cannons. Only one sign, all in Indonesian, with history.so much more could be done.

a well maintenance fort on seaside with beautiful sea views. there's no activities or another attraction inside this fort. it takes only less than 30 minutes to explore this place.

5 shape fort in the Ternate, with beautiful landscape. the front side is tidore strait and the back side is Gamalama mountain. i enjoy the view and has a good spot for photos. i think the best time to visit is early morning around 7-8 am or afternoon around 5 pm. you will get clear blue sky.

Was built by Portuguese then conquered by Dutch colonial, now within the government hand, still has no significant attraction.

Not very interesting site really, it's quite small, nothing overly special about it. It does have a nice view of some of the neighboring islands but that's about it. If you are doing a day tour of ternate I would probably skip it as there are numerous other forts in town that are a bit more picturesque.
