About
Driving further into the valley, you will cross a bridge over a canyon and reach another parking lot. The marked trail to Gorsabrua starts here (1,8 km) and this walk is easy. Lamb are eating grass in the trench and there is a full view over the valley along the trail. When reaching the bridge, Gorsabrua; prepare for some tickling height fear! An enormous waterfall flows down into the 153 metres high canyon and you have a fantastic view over it when standing on the bridge. On Saturdays during the summer, you can bungee jump from an exit-ramp on the middle of the bridge. It is probably one of the northernmost bungee jumps that you can find!

An amazing place! The road to lower parking space has quite a lot so driving is slow. From there it’s 3,8km walk to the bridge via Ankerlia mining area. You can continue to the upper parking space, the road is narrow and could be difficult if it’s raining. From the upper parking space it’s 1,8km walk to bridge. The path is well marked and easy to walk with good shoes. By the bridge there’s a resting place with tables ect.

Very nice place. We travelled with our motorhome, and the road to the closest parkinglot is pretty bad, so we left the car at a parkinglot at another bridge. We had to travel by feet about 3-4km and the weather was hot so the kids were pretty tired of walking over 7km. But it was worth it. The view at the canyon is amazing, and you can feel the power of the water falling.

If don’t want to do the long hike tour uphill, I recommend driving to the closest point and walk only 1.5 km. This is a beautiful and fairly easy walk. We passed a flock of sheep along the way. The views of the waterfall and bridge once there was amazing.

The bridge over the deepest canyon in northern Europe offers a breathtaking view down to the canyon. The private road up to the parking places is terrible with a normal car like VW Passat, but if you drive carefully it's doable. The walk from the first bridge is a real hike, so if your car can get up there I'd recommend driving to the upper parking place next to the pathway to the bridge.

I recommend the walk through the old mining site. The climb is bit more demanding, but still an easy one. The view over the canyon is well worth it.

Gorsa bridge is laid over the deepest canyon in Europe. From it you can see the 153 meters high waterfall. The view is breathtaking and the hike is nice and easy. From the car parking drive up. 10 minutes and you feel like you’re on the moon. Beautiful scenery, lake and great views.

We walked from the bottom carpark, through the old mines which was interesting. A fair walk up to the bridge and wow, it feels so high and slightly scary! Great views! Crossed the bridge and walked back to the car park via the old road. A great afternoon!

Gorsa Bridge and canyon is a must do for anybody visiting the Tromso, Norway area. It does require a little navigation ability to find this magnificent place. A marked secondary road leads up the beautiful Kafjorddalen Valley from the town of Birtavarre, Norway. The road is initially paved but turns to gravel about halfway up the valley. Follow this road across a wooden bridge and up a moderate slope to the car park. The easy trail leading to the Gorza bridge is about 2.2km long through a birch forest. When we took this hike in mid September 2015 the trees were in full fall color (golden yellow). The bridge becomes visible about 2 km into the trek. However, until you reach the bridge, a person has no idea of the scope of this remarkable canyon carved as much as 600 m deep by the Guolasjohka River. The Gorzifossen waterfall plunges in a freefall 150 meters down into the abyss.
From the bridge, photographers can take side view shots of the waterfall. With a little scrambling, front shots of the falls can be taken from the far side of the bridge.. Be very, very careful of your step near the edge of the precipice !!!! Even with maximum effort, I could not capture the magnitude and grandeur of this remarkable place in my photos. Apparently, the bridge serves as a link to longer range hiking trails leading to a variety of mountain summits, but we did not have the time for further exploration.

At this small but nervebraking brigde, besides a beautiful waterfall, you are able jump down. Hight is 153 meters (about 450f). This is the most narrow bungee in Europa! Steep mountains on both sides. Close to the E6 road. Order must be done online at: bungee.no. Fantastic!

When you drive up then cross the first bridge as well and drive a little bit more until you reach next parking lot. From there the walk to the Gorsa is as beautiful as the destination point itself. Be aware of the lamb sh*t though. Enjoy!
