Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were spending time in Mala Fatra National Park, as my husband enjoys hiking. We went up on the Vratna Cable Car, it was great, the views from the top are amazing, my husband enjoyed his walk, i sat near the cafe and just admired the views.

We went by cable car from Chleb and walked up Velky Krivaň. It was a nice sunny day so there were beautiful views from the top. Also good for families with children (our granddaughter is 5).

I love cableways and was happy when we went for it. The trip costs 11 euros for up and down, its a short trip but for outdoor tourists worth for it. At the top you find tourist routs and a restaurant. Also you could rent scooter to go down to the village or to go with little train.

Even we did not have the best weather, it turned bit better around mid-day, we have had a chance to see beautiful landscape. Routes are well marked. Will come back for more hiking.

As much as we love going to Vratna dolina (literally past 20 years!) we have never experienced such a terrible treatment, attitude from staff members operating PASEKY ski lift which should be there to help - refusing to let us go down with a tired child is unacceptable! I have to let know everyone about the renting facility RAW-Vratna - extremely RUDE people, arrogant, I have reserved the shoes when I gave them back for the next day (at 4pm) and when I got them next day at 11.30am they were wet inside!!!! I had to ski in cold and wet shoes and they just told me "well they didn't have time to dry" seriously ?! My Mum's shoes were too big, and when asked repeatedly to help us find another pair they just replied with no interest that they don't have anything else.... these things are not a joke, you can injure yourself when skiing with wrong and unfit equipment so their arrogance is truly unbelievable THEY JUST DONT CARE about the customer!!!!! I have never met rude staff like this- my day was destroyed because of the terrible attitude they gave us- website says they are open until 4:30pm but at 4pm they closed the doors and wanted to charge me OVERTIME!! Disgusting, I have no words. People these days have no good will and you can tell they care only about money. STAY AWAY FROM RAW-VRATNA!!!!

The Vratna valley is a place same attractive in all seasons. We visited it during a summer where the wild nature I'd very remarkable. Cliffs and creek create a real canyon scenery.

We were at Vratna dolina during the month of February, it wasn't snowing that much so we didn't experience skiing. But the natural beauty of the moutains compensated it.

We are coming here only to see snow - but find a good place to build snowman and had a coffee within an hour.
The place is not so crowded during the workdays, the facilities are good (parking places, many buffets with seating and access to toilet) and have super Italian coffee Filicori.

Hello, I am planning to hike for two days in Mala Fatra mountains. I have read that a good starting point is Vratna. However, I could not find any way to reach this place by public transport. All I found is a train or bus from Bratislava to Zilina and from there it seems the only option is a taxi. Does someone know about any other cheaper way?
I am also considering to rent a car. Any suggestion where to rent it?
Thanks a lot
