This reserve was established by the environmental authorities to protect seabird colonies, plants and wildlife. A must do activity for bird enthusiasts . You book a boat and take the safari which is the number two attraction in Nordkapp.it is famous for its white tailed eagle . Seasonal birds like the puffins , ravens, razorbills etc are freely flying across during the season.

After arriving by cruise ship in Honningsvag we were transport to Gjesvaerstappen in a small coach along to only road we passed the local herdsmen tending herds of reindeer.
The scenery was also spectacular, this alone was worth the cost.
Then we arrived a a small fishing town and boarded the vessel that took us out the bird viewing area and breeding colonies.
The great variety off birds in and out of the water was amazing. Hundreds of thousand in the area.
The views across the islands towards north-cape and the Arctic are awe inspiring.
There is a small gift shop on the dock if you require a North cape souvenir .

Excellent value as we saw seals, eagles, puffins, gannets and many more. We got up close to the rocks and could actually smell the birds. Far exceeded my expectations and really was a great time! Highly recommended!

Stunning scenery and magnificent bird life. Probably one of the best places in the world to view large numbers of puffins on the water and in flight. Take a boat or zodiac tour.
