About
The Art Center Purnu is located in the centre of the most beautiful nature on the shore of Langelmavesi. Each year Purnu organises summer exhibitions with changing themes, full of current finnish modern artists. Also different events, performances and courses are held during summer. Finland’s first summer exhibition was arranged in Purnu in 1967.

Kaunista Suomalaista luontoa ja taidetta. Varsin vaikuttava paikka on käymisen arvoinen jo pelkästään maisemien rauhoittavuuden vuoksi.
Likimain esteetön ja koirakin pääsi nauttimaan taiteesta.

Mutkaisen tien takana sijaitsee kuvanveistäjä Aimo Tukiaisen Purnu-niminen taidekeskus. Muistan lukeneeni siitä paljon, joten matka suuntautui sinne. Paikka on ilmeisesti Tukiaisen kesämökki, jonka yhteyteen on rakentunut lisärakennuksia. Ne tarjoavat perustan erilaisille kesänäyttelyille, jotka vaihtuvat kesittäin. Tukiaisen veistoksia löytyy pihamaalta ja riihestä.
Paikalla on myös viehättävä paikalle siirrettyyn pirttiin tehty kahvila.
