This falls is around 70 km from Mysore. You can see and enjoy the falls from a long distance. There is a view point from where you can see the falls. You cannot go down and really enjoy the water of the falls. The road leading to falls is enjoyable with greenery. You can spend max one hour watching the... More

Cons: 1.Tourists are not allowed to go down. you can watch from the distance. 2. Water is less because of Monsoon failure 3. Condition is pretty hot - try visit in morning or evening. Pro 1. Do a good ride on the Kanakapura road, both sides are filled with green farm fields, I strongly recommend two Wheelers to ride on... More

Hello ALL: I visited this place last Sunday (06/11/2016). But due to some accident (Bharachikku) write now tourist will only able to see the waterfall but don't allow to go inside from water. Good amount of water are you able to see in waterfall.

Had been to this place on 29th Oct, Saturday with lots of hopes but literally disappointed as there was no water and they were not allowing us inside that this place is closed since 6 months. We went in 2 wheeler and all our efforts went into pain.

It was a trip which almost takes 3 hrs from bangalore useless. The falls were good but administration had stopped the way down to the falls and you can only see from top so it is not worth to go there. Better avoid

The best falls in Karnataka. Shivanasamudra falls is split into two parts - Gaganachukii and Bharachikku. Bharachukki just resembles Niagara when full. It is a pleasant view and one will just get lost in the beauty of these falls. If you are allowed to climb down Bharachukki when water is less, you will be lucky to play in the water... More

Nice place for one day trip near Bangalore. Its approx 130-140 kms from Bangalore and has 2 water falls. Earlier people were allowed to go down and enjoy in water but now it has been banned and barricaded by the authorities.

The only reason to visit the place is for the beautiful view. When I visited the water level was high and we were not allowed to go down the stairs. But visit the place just for the view. It is a good one day outing from bangalore.

There are two water falls Gaganachukki and Bharachukki ,but you can't go down near water as path is closed for safety reasons.View of Bharachukki is better than Gaganachukki. Travelling little further you can enjoy basket boating which costs Rs 100/- per person. Please take your food with you as you won't find good restaurants there and local food is horrible. Still...
