An emotional thank you
Mar 2016 • Solo
Entering the Commenwealth War Cemetry was for me a very emotional experience. Walking past the very well kept graves and reading the names of all these young soldiers of different nationalities, laid to rest here in Piangipane, so far from there loved ones, who died fighting so we may live in a free world, brought tears of gratitude to my eyes. There are Sikhs from India, Poles, Canadians, English boys, some of them really very young. I feel a visit to them is a must atleast once a year. The atmosphere at the cemetry is very peaceful. They know they didn't give their lives invain. And I thank them from the bottom of my heart.
