Great waterfall, stunning scenery. Lots of people around though! Cafe at top of hill (lots of steps) but was really expensive (£40 for 4 sandwiches). Quite a drive from city centre but worth it as part of our tour.

We were on a 10 day tour around Iceland. I will bring back many memories buy somehow walking on the volcanic cliff daring Gullfoss majesty was the best for me. Especially in winter. Do not miss it.

I reckon this is more impressive than Victoria Falls! The weather was horizontal again when we visited Gullfoss, but the majesty and power of the falls was not diminished by the fight that we had to put up in order to remain standing! A visit to these falls is included on the Golden Circle trips and is definitely worth checking... More

Gullfoss was amazing worth seeing! But it is quite a drive from most hotels etc. Lots of tourists and the toilets were vile (never again)

A visit to Gullfoss is not to be missed if you're visiting Iceland. It's very impressive. The only downside, like all the other attractions of the 'Golden Circle', is that you'll be swamped by hundreds of visitors trying to get the best views.

I found the other things to be a bit lame, and turned into an attraction for the sake of it, however i thought this was well worth a visit.

We visited here from Vik in our hire car. The weather was interesting, it snowed for the whole day but we managed to get there when the sky was just turning from blue to very cloudy, looking mean and moody. The waterfall is a must see and it really splendid. It is free to visit and you can also tie... More

We rented a car and drove here from Reykjavik- however you can do this as part of the Golden Circle tour. It is located along the ring road, so you cant miss it! Once you past Geysir, keep on going, it isn’t too far past. Gulfoss has a path down the waterfall, so you can photograph it from all over.... More

We came here in the winter and it's part of the golden circle tour. The day we went was bad weather but still beautiful to see!!! Would be interesting to see in summer months--I hear you cans see a rainbow too.

The waterfalls are incredible. It's free to visit so if you have a car a must. No idea what the trips charge but we did both Gullfloss and Geyser by car and they are both free to visit. Incredible!!!!
