Free parking and also a self service N1 gas station (you would need a prepaid card). If you are driving and you see a lot of cars and buses you know your in the right place because theres plenty of people visiting. It was a sunny day when we went and luckily there was a rainbow when we were there. There... More

We visited when the wind was blowing very hard and the temperature was in the 20s F. Very bone numbing cold. To take my hands out of my gloves to take pictures was to have my fingers risk frostbite. It was hard even to look into the wind. But even in these conditions, I lingered quite a while at the... More

Having seen Niagara Falls, these falls are not quite as impressive. They are nevertheless beautiful and worth seeing. This is the third stop on Iceland's "Golden Triangle", so be prepared for lots of tourists. You will need to walk down several steps to get to the falls from the parking lot. Be very careful with your footing as the steps... More

Gullfoss is absolutely breath taking and a must see if you have the time! If you can spend the night around the area it is worth it as you could see Geysir and the waterfall out of the rush hours of tours!

This is a magnificent site/sight and a definite must see when touring the golden circle route. There is plenty of free parking, and a visitor centre with toilets (free). We didn't eat at the cafe/restaurant, however it looked very popular. There is a walkway with easy steps going down to the viewing platform. We seemed to have timed our exit... More

The Gullfoss is an amazingly beautiful waterfall located about 2 hours from Reykjavik. You can take a tour or rent a car and drive there yourself. On the way stop to pat the beautiful horses they are just lovely. This place is spectacular but please make sure you have warm clothes, it's extremely cold, so gloves, beanie's, warm jackets to... This was our second destination when doing the golden circle tour. The waterfall is a must see, with stunning views! It is absolutely freezing so warm and waterproof clothing is a must! I would definitely recommend visiting when in Iceland.

This waterfall took my breath away for its scale and majesty. Visitor centre is set up well to give many different views of the waterfall. A stop well worth making.

Well worth the cold. Very impressive. I'd recommend going to the lower level for an even better view and good photo opportunities!

Myself and 2 friends are just back from a tour which included a trip to see this waterfall. There is so much history about the waterfall itself which is interesting. It was snowing heavy when we went and cold, if you are well wrapped up it wont bother you, the views of the waterfall are spectacular. Well worth the walk.
