We planned this visit for some time. We came at the end of holiday season and the parking place was quite full. We were worried the place would be overcrowded however that was not the case. As the park is large, people spread around so it did not feel crowded at all. Animals had big enough places to live. Some of the stories and facts about animals were not positive at all however it was good to know the reality. It is obvious that owners care and do a lot. Thank you!

Absolutely loved our trip to Malkia. We stayed for 2 nights and we enjoyed every minute of it.
Room was big and so was the bathroom. We had a big closet as well in our room. The only minus is that there is no mini fridge in the room.
Staff was also very nice. Food was alright but the price was bit higher.
Park itself was amazing. As we stayed in the hotel we were allowed to stay an hour after the park officially closed (we were also able to get into the park an hour before they opened). That was the best decision as there were no other people (except two or three other families) in the park and all the animals were out in the open and we could see them. Park entry is of course free is you are staying in the hotel. We went 4 times into the park. My 3 year old woke up and wanted to go feed the donkeys and lamas right away.
I can only recommend.

The idea of the ZOO is nice.
But the road to reach the Malkia Park is nightmare. The place was overcrowded and hygiene in food court and in the bathroom very poor. I was shocked how can it be opened in Covid19 situation with such a poor hygiene, no disinfection, no face masks inside the food court or bathroom.
The prices for food and drinks compared to the quality are overpriced.
And overall the place is only onetime visit place.

I have followed Malkia Park on their FB page for a while. A friend volunteers there in the summer. My visit was fabulous. The animals are so well cared for. No interaction with people, not even the keepers unless for medical reasons. They have all been rescued from EU circuses or private owners. I sponsor the two white tigers, Carmen and Mautzi. Unfortunately Mautzi's brother, Falco, died at the end of August because of inbreeding issues. The Park is very well kept. This is a great place for children to learn about animal protection and conservation

They market themselves as an animal shelter so we expected to see a tiger, a lion and perhaps a couple of donkeys. How wrong our expectations were! This is a proper ZOO. A small one, but a ZOO with a nice selection of animals - tigers, lions, cheetahs, panthers, bears, wolves, zebras, a camel, monkeys, meerkats, owls, parrots, goats... the list goes on.

Enclosures seem generous size with a variety of toys and facilities for animals so they don't get bored easily. The whole complex is clean, well marked and includes a restaurant and a cafe.

There are just 2 negatives that have nothing to do with how Malkia Park is run but which spoilt the visit for us a bit. First, it was a VERY hot day so most animals were hiding in shades, tucked away, difficult to find. Secondly, the Slovakia Ring racing circuit is about a kilometre away. There was some sort of a motorbike event going on and it was LOUD!

We will certainly go back to visit Malkia Park again, probably in cooler weather and we'll check the Slovakia Ring events calendar to make sure our visit doesn't collide with an event there. :)

really nice zoo with lot of exotic animals. Entrance bistro offers really poor meal menu. inside zoo is another bistro with better menu range but for higher price. ZOO itself is in nice environment where you can hear sound of animals in one ear and in another one car noise from near Slovakia Ring. Park is splitted into several zones where is possible to see and hear commented feeding. lot of animals are behind glass but there is also place for children. we like visit this kind of places.

Malkia Park is a thoroughly modern big cats refuge situated about 45 mins from Bratislava centre (very close to the Slovak Ring race track).

The focus is on big data but there are many other animals including wolves, bears, kangaroos and llamas all of whom are in very good condition. The enclosures are large and modern and the facilities are good and, although the food on sale in the buffet is nothing special, the natural honey cake was superb!

In addition to the above, there is a petting area with goats and sheep and a lake with swans and geese. The entrance fee includes a cup of snacks for feeding of certain animals.

Very nice but if possible, I suggest to wait for the summer so that all animals are on display but having said that, those that we saw were very energetic.

If this review was helpful, please leave me a helpful vote, I’m trying to reach 100, thanks.

Big cats, monkeys, small mammals, lake birds, owls, parrots,... All animals looked happy and well kept. Sharks fine, but not worthy of extra admission.

it was amazing, sure going to come again !

it is really worth the visit and time. it is unbelieveable place full of beautiful animals.
the animals have the most beautiful runs i have ever seen. it is a bit chaos to orientate there, you can touch some animals (rabbits, lamas, camel, donkeys, zebras, kangaroos,...) and feed them, there are many cats, also bears, wolves, birds, tigers, cheetahs, lions, monkeys...its really big area with lake, many benches to sit...

whats a shame is that there is a noise from building another parts of park and also motocars nearby. and also that you cant take good photos through the glass while are the animals inside

but it was really Great!

big plus for the condition of animals and the staff taking care of them

sk:

nadherne miesto, urcite prideme znova!

urcite tam chodte
