I have been to Sywell before a few years ago, however they have made some good improvements which only make this place even better. It is about a 3 mile walk around the country park walking close to the waters edge. You can let your dogs off the lead (except for a small nature reserve). There are dog poo bins... More

We had a lovely walk... just needs the paths upgrading as we had a buggy and it was hard work in some places.

This is a great place for a nice walk in fresh air away from cars and push bikes - great for exercising dogs. The walk around the lake is about 2.5 miles and the views are lovely. There is a cafe and activity area for children which is very popular The walk can be difficult and dangerous in winter when... More

I visited recently with friends and their children and having lived in the Northampton area for over 10 years was really taken aback by such a superb place to visit. The weather was awesome, the walk was great and the play for the kids was fantastic, just the crowds spoiled it. If you enjoy picnicing in between cars fighting for... More

This park has amazing facilities for children plus lots of picnic areas and a nice little cafe. The reservoir offers a lovely walk and views. Lots to do, loads of wildlife,

We visited my inlaws who live in earls Barton with our dog We wanted to get both a walk and lunch in, and decided to pop down to Sywell which was only a short drive away. Considering it is school half term the car park wasn't too over crowded £3 parking which was good As it was lunchtime by the... More

This park is ok but try getting in on a sunny day and the place can't cope. Car park is a nightmare, if you do manage to get a space bring £3 cash exactly. Machines do not accept card payment and don't give change (annoying) and the tickets aren't transferable as you have to enter car reg number into ticket... More

This is essentially a reservoir, which has been encompassed by a very pleasant walkway of 2 1/2 miles circular. There's a small playing park for toddlers, picnic areas and a lovely little cafe. Wonderful aquatic wildlife with incremental viewing areas. Ideal place for young families, senior citizens, dog walkers and anyone who enjoys a lazy stroll. Personally, this is one... More

This is a lovely park in the daytime but avoid evenings. Went for an evening walk a while ago and the park had large groups of mainly male young men with bbq's and bonfires playing loud music, drinking alcohol and being generally antisocial. Having left this in a previous review I hoped the council and/or park ranger would have picked... More
