Take your camera with you when visiting Milfontes and head out to the Farol where you can get a fantastic perspective of the River, the sea, the beaches and the town.
I just love Milfontes - it has a certain vibe that is laid back and relaxed, despite the number of tourists that visit.

Went to Farol de Milfont, the views are lovely looking back towards the town and bridge and fantastic looking out to sea. Definitely worth seeing.

You see the Mira estuary, and many beaches. You can make a walk along the coastline. The waves are big, but beaches near the riverside are good for swimming. Nice restaurant.

Not often can you see views as incredible as this. Definitely worth the stop for a few pictures and some gazing.
