at the mouth of the Mira River where it meets the ocean. Fine, white sand and a demarked swimming area. Need to be mindful of tides and river current (quite fun to walk upriver then drift float downstream). While there were dressing rooms on the beach, not sure if there were public toilet and shower facilities.

The Franquia beach at the river Mira is a long and nice stretch where you can both swim and rent kayaks and SUPs. The water is rather cold and the current quite strong, however the swimming areas are marked to allow for safe swimming. We had a great time and the grandkids especially enjoyed challenging the tide building walls in the sand.

But be careful with the stream - it's much more powerful than what you think, so respect the barriers on the beach. Also nice is the promenade along the beach.
