Once we arrived here on our drive from Isparta to Ankara
This village is famous for it's fields of lavenders and sunflowers
The farmers brilliantly staged their fields with decorative materials to make it picturesque
They are so nice to allow people take pictures for free, and without any sale pressure you can purchase items made of lavenders such as jam, soap, coffee and so on.
I did by lavender coffee to support their efforts, but didn't taste so good.

I visited kuyucak village in Isparta province in Turkey last week .The whole village was full of visitors like me. There are many lavenders fields but all are not so close to each other. Therefore, I had many chances to explore the taste of lavenders in different places in this village. There were lots of things to buy for personal use or gifts in many little shops in the village, such as flowers, perfume, soups, oil, accessories, coffee, tea, ice cream...etc..They are not expensive such as a bunch of lavender flowers cost is 15 TL, Hand made Chain is 20 TL, Soups 5 TL ~ 10 TL, Perfume 15 TL ~ 50 TL, Oil 10 TL ...etc...and of course there are lots of lovely decorations in the lavender fields for photos' shooting in every fields plus you could able to ride camel in the fields as well. It cost 15 TL for a rid. There are many restaurants and coffee shops in the village too. I did Really enjoy here! I will be right back here.

I'd added this as a quick visit but we all loved it, bought bunches of lavender kids got head wreaths! Lovely town, to walk through and also visit the lavender fields, I'd drive passed all initial places, busy with coach loads of people, park in the car park on the left just before town entrance and wander through the town. We stopped for pictures in one of the fields on the way back

Story of Kuyucak started in 1975 after some locals brought lavenders from world famous provence of France to village. Then many families started to grow lavender just like this pioneers, now area lots of lavender fields. It became a tourist attraction few years back after some bloggers and instagramers mentioned this location on internet and seems it spreaded very wierdly. People bring white clothes or hats along to wear and take photos just to taste a pinch of Provence like “aura” however you can see very funny sceens around 😀. After tourist boom its very crowded so dont expect to take provence like photos like magazines or bloggers 🙂

We made a 4 hour drive from Alanya to see it. Wel, not to see but to make pics, tons of pics at the lavanda fields. Youwould probably expect that lavanda fields are only in France? Wrong, here it comes, the Village of Kuyucak with lavanda fields and lots of spots to make pics with those beautiful flowers. Also the bouquets are available as well as ice cream with lavanda. I would guess that they must have everything with lavanda and also a credit card terminal even in the field kiosk ;) nice job, gentlemen!
Also, I would suggest leaving a car on the entrance to the village and have like 20 minutes walk to the fields in odredr to enjoy the scenery: mountains, fields and the skies. Completely worth. I wouldalso suggest hiring a pro photographer - to make a good couple pics. A nice bonus: we have seen about 60 village goats climbing up and down the rocks, a-maz-ing!
Extra bonus: the village itself, a roural Turkish agricultural village with its architecture - an experience to have

The best time to visit to the lavender village is July. There are many local tour agencies doing this tour as day trip including Salda Lake. It's amazing! Don't miss it!

[The plants] start to bloom sometime in the end of May or the beginning of June, and the whole area smells of lavender in July,” They harvested it in the middle of August or maximum end of August.
