Myself and my group of 13 friends went to paintballing during the week and to say it was the highlight of our holiday was an understatement. Amazing value for money. Frances and Cormac were warm and informative and made us feel safe whilst playing the games. Even the more nervous of our group can say they had a brilliant time. Excellent value for money and just a brilliant day out

Was here for a stag last weekend and had the most unbelievable day out. The staff working there were very impressive and so sound and there wasn't a single person who didn't think it was an unforgettable activity. I really recommend similar groups to stay just up the road in Moig Lodge as well for a cracking weekend in the area!

We have just held a joint birthday party for our to eldest boys(9 and 11)at basecamp. We had 18 young Rambo wannabes playing the splatball course. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and the kids were having fun with the marshalls even during registration!!!!!!From the clear and concise safety rules to the moment the last paintball was fired the kids all had great fun.All the staff were friendly and as helpful as could be.We left with cries of" best party ever" ringing in our ears, and promises of future parties being made all round. Many thanks basecamp and hope to see you soon for a spot of adults only paintballing!!!!

Having won a spotprize for 10 people to go paintballing l decided to treat my son and his friends for his Confirmation. I rang and spoke to a man named Wayne who said to me that because I had won the voucher l would have to wait until he had another paying group booked in to use it. Initially when l rang he told me that the voucher would more than likely be out of date that he puts a very short expiry date on spotprizes when l rang him back with the voucher number he didn't seem too impressed saying ah well if you have the voucher then you have the voucher. He certainly didn't make me feel very welcome. He also told me that he would give them 200 paintballs and that they would all need to bring 10 euro each for extra paintballs which I was happy to pay. He rang me yesterday to say he would have to postpone our booking for this Saturday as he doesn't have a paying party of teenagers booked in.I almost feel like I was begging and feel very disappointed with how this business treated me and my son. As of now I have not been able to use the voucher and am unsure as to when l can use it.

Hi Joanne, I think it’s important that people get all the facts before making a judgement about our business especially since I feel you have really given a one sided story here. Firstly, I need to make it clear that customer service is everything to us and has been since we opened 18 years ago. This is why I feel the need to defend our company and give our side so that people can then judge for themselves with all the facts. The voucher you won was a spotprize we gave for free to Support a good cause and one of many charities we support every year. We do this for one reason and one reason only and that’s to “support” them. We have done this for hundreds of charities since we opened back in 2001 and this is something we are very proud of which is why we are extremely upset to be portrayed in the manner you portrayed us. The spotprize you won came with Terms & Conditions which were sent with the prize and these clearly state that to redeem the voucher your group would be put in on a date when there is a game scheduled. Every other spotprize we have ever given away have all had the same condition. The reason we have to put this condition in place is because as a business we could not possibly open and run a private game for ten players for free as we would lose money which would be against everything we need to do to survive and stay in business. When you first called us, you did not have your voucher with you and you didn’t know any details about it so I asked you to locate it and call us when you did so we could confirm the voucher type and expiry etc. I did say that we put shorter expiry dates on our spotprize’s which are usually between three and six months which are fair and do give people enough time to arrange a game. When you called back I was happy for you that you found the voucher and remember the call as you are a teacher in Clements school and I mentioned that your transition year class was also coming to Basecamp. I made it very clear that we would love to have your group and we can book you in once we have a game already booked. To say I handled the call the way you said I did is very innacurate and I feel very aggrieved that you would try to portray me in this way. I was very nice to you every time we spoke. Regarding your booking for this Saturday, I did call you Tuesday to let you know that the other teenage group we had cancelled and unless we get another booking we could not put the game on but would call you next week with definite dates when there are games on that you could book in. On this call you said that was fine and you sounded ok with everything and seemed to have understood the fairness of the situation. It was the following night when we confirmed that there was no other group booked in that you then started threatening me that you would make sure Clements school never came back to us and that you would post negative reviews about our company and you did this in a very threatening manner which as a small business that depends on local support seemed very unfair. We have been a big part of the local community since 2001 where we have employed local, brought many tourism benefits to the area and supported local initiatives wherever we could. Being part of the community is very important to us. It’s really alarming that one person can portray a business in a way they see fit and try to damage that business instead of putting the real facts out there and then let people make their own mind up. I also made it clear to you that we would get you booked in over the next few weeks for sure and if it did not suit I’d extend the voucher. Most importantly, I did apologise and again explained everything. The voucher comes with clear terms and conditions and they are there to ensure we can continue to support charities and to absorb the expense to our business. Joanne, I made everything clear from the first conversation we had and was as helpful as I could be. We will happily take your group and honour the voucher within the terms of the voucher which are once we have a game on they can join in. Your son and his friends will be very welcome at Basecamp and will have a great day out if they do book in. It’s just a shame and very hurtful to us as a Business that you would take this approach to try and portray us in the negative light you did when everything was made very clear from the start and we tried our best. People can make their own mind up now that we have explained our side but as a business we are hurt that someone could try to ruin our reputation in such a careless way when we have worked so hard for 18 years to do our best to survive and offer the best possible customer experience. This all started out by us supporting a local initiative with clearly stated terms and conditions and ended with our character as a business being attacked in an unfair way. You tried to bully us by threatening us with social media and pulling your Clements school tours and you have done all the above now but at least people can now have the facts about this. If people chose to think we are as you say we are, then they are entitled to it but there are thousands of customers that have been to Basecamp who have experienced memorable days out by staff who go above and beyond for our customers and I will not allow someone to try and destroy the reputation our staff have given so much over the years to build. Kind regards Wayne Basecamp Adventure Park

Having just returned from a day out at basecamp action adventure park, I simply had to write a review to express the absolute quality of the experience there. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by not just an incredibly professional team, but a friendly one too. The instructions on how to enjoy the facilities to the utmost were top notch. It could not be located in a better setting, it has such an authentic feel to the place and a personal touch that is a mile above the standard I had experienced in visits to some other adventure parks. There was a great mix of people, from families to corporate team events, and absolutely everybody had a great time. It made our weekend, I couldn't recommend it highly enough. Thanks lads. We will be back.

Booked the time from Canada with great success.Corresponded by e-mails with Sinead who was a great help. This is one of the best fields I've played at. Bryan and Wayne made sure everyone was looked after in a very professional way. All you need is you, they supply the rest. I would suggest that a pair of light boots as you are playing in a forest environment. The rules were explained in detail and the safety was of the utmost concern. I recommend this location in a heart beat, form 10 to 70 you WILL have a blast.

Went with a group of ten people, 7 lads, 3 girls. We all had a great time! The games were always interesting and exciting. The Marshals were all lovely too, really good Craic, they give you tips on the best tactics and they really keep an eye out for you. We booked using their stay and play offer which was great value for money, and would definitely recommend it. The only thing is, you run out of paintballs fast if you're trigger happy so it can be an expensive day, but definitely worth it for the fun.

We took a group of 10 year old boys here for a birthday Party they had an excellent afternoon. The staff were very friendly and the Marshall, Darragh that was assigned to our group was fantastic with the boys. I'd highly recommend Splat Balling..

We took 15, 10-11 year olds for my sons birthday. After a slight delay in finding the camp, they were well looked after by the team leader, Darragh. He who took them through the safety first and then the fun. The centre had two other parties and a stag going on at the same time. It was large enough and organised enough to cater for them all without incident. Would like to return to try out the adult sector with landing craft and helicopter.
