The Fort is inaccessible to the public (I believe it’s used by a Government department) but is an important coastal landmark between Oireas and Carcavelos beaches. The sea is currently choppy and the waves that crash against the Fort, impressive.

This is not open to the public (I think it's used by the Ministry of Justice) but provides a great base from which to photograph beach scenes and sunsets. Fishermen also cast from the surrounding rocks. The surrounding area is an important graveyard for shipwrecks....More
