Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very interesting piece of war time memorabilia, this is a fascinating private collection that should be visited. The attention to both sides and all the war pieces is a refreshing view as you usually only see one side. The military vehicle’s are very impressive.

Most unique military and war museum in Europe! Military history, war machines, war laser games. Biggest military festival in Estonia.

Interesting displays of different historical events and Estonian police. They have many different machines and even a forest brother's bunker on display!

This is an interesting place if you want to learn more about soviet military. But all in Russian so can't really understand.
It's a petite museum with two floors.
Still worth going if you are into soviet military.
Free.
One cool thing is you can get up to a tank and take a free picture. The key is to climb up to the tank.

I visited this muesum on the way to Riga. It has an interesting collection of military artifacts and memorabilia stretching back from WWI to the present day. Some of the exhibits are quite bizarre, but in a good and interesting way! There are lots of artifacts from the battles that took place between Nazi Germany and the USSR in 1941 and 1944, while outside the museum is a collection of military vehicles, such as a Soviet T-34 tank and a helicopter. All housed inside a former Red Army base, which was only abandoned by the Russians in 1994. If you're passing through town, stop off for a quick look around, it takes about half hour as the museum is fairly small.

This is an amazing private collection of military memorabilia. Most countries would have a government run facility for such artefacts and Estonia should definitely think about aiding the people who run this superb collection of army materials. Unfortunately very little is in English but the wealth of material is amazing.

A lot of effort was put into the creation of the many displays of weapons, artefacts, uniforms, instruments and armoured vehicles. The museum gives a great insight into what the Latvian army had to endure.

Although there are both indoor and outdoor displays, everything is in Latvian which was disappointing.

We were lucky as we had a guide who explained a lot for us. Despite this, the museum is still worth a visit.

This museum has some interesting displays. However, it is all in Estonian and nothing is translated. There are indoor and outdoor exhibits.

On the border between Latvia and Estonia, this quirky museum traces some of military and armed forces history of Estonia. It is a mish-mash of artifacts, weapons, uniforms from across the decades of the 20th and 21st centuries. Haphazardly organized, very little signage in English (we had a guide as part of a tour from Riga to Tallinn). Wish we'd had more time to explore the grounds, which have some armored vehicles of various vintages. Not sure I'd recommend stopping if you're on your own and don't speak Estonian.

The museum was created by the first chief of the Valga Boarder Guard in restored Estonian Republic’s
In the museum you can get acquainted with the history of the Estonian national guard, the Estonian border guard and the armed forces, look at the Soviet army time military equipment and weapons, descend to the partisan bunker, shop for military items
There is no information in English, Russian or any other language. Only in Estonian
Bad Guide guides also speak Estonian only. A Russian tour was told by a technical manager. But many things could not be explained.
