Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely wooden houses at a busy harbour with little quaint shops, nice cafes and restaurants. Very typical for the area with lots of care put into neatness and beauty like flower arrangements, parks and children`s playgrounds. A beach to swim at right behind the church. The children`s playpark ’moominland’ across the bridge and the Merisali restaurant to eat at after. The president`s summer castle across the bay reachable by bridge.
Suntown Naantali is well worth the trip.

Naantali is very beautiful. It is recommended to start at the harbour and then walk towards the main street Mannerheimgatan. Many nice wooden houses! Some shops and cafes are also available. Finish with an ice cream near the harbour and sit on a bench and enjoy. Opposite is the Finnish President's summer residence Gullranda.

Nice day strolling around a lovely and classical Finnish summer town. The old town is really cute and especially the old buildings are really photogenic. Must see place in Southern Finland. The restaurants close rather early

Out exploring Naantali, Finland. With its beautiful beaches in its cottage-like community on the water front. Complete with old wooden buildings from WWII timeframe. And brick/stone cellar passages. Love this place.

I arrived from Turku on bus #7. The driver informed me that the ticket is valid for 2 hrs. A short walk ~500m~ brought me the the beachside town. It was a cold March morning and no one was out. I had the whole wharf to myself. I took many pictures and wander about aimlessly, taking in the tranquility and immensely enjoying the picturesque walk along the board walk, jetties by the church and closed bistros. Finally I even managed to board the bus back to Turku without exceeding 2 hours. It was certainly €3 well spent.

One can only imagine how busy this area must be during the summer time. Old wooden houses with strictly restricted traffic, small boutiques and cafes. I

Hi Jenny! I am very sorry for the late reply, for some reason your question did not show up until now. You have maybe already visited Naantali, but just in case somebody else is wondering, I'll reply to your question anyway. During summer time it is possible to reach Naantali old town by boat from Turku. The boats which have regular connections are Steamship Ukkopekka which travels a few times a day between Tuesday and Saturday and m/s Rudolfina which runs later in the evening. For further information and their operation timetable, please visit their websites (ukkopekka.fi) and (rudolfina.fi). I hope you had a good holiday here in Finland and had a chance to visit Naantali aswell. If you are still planning your trip, we wish you warmly welcome to Naantali old town!
With best regards,
Unna / Visit Naantali
