Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The park itself was actually pretty ok, some additional sun cover would have been useful during a very hot day. However, the opening and the entry to the park was poorly organized. It took 50minutes to the get and reason was technical (manual scanning of tickets, too little staff, not organized queuing etc.). True disaster came when I took some time and wrote the details of experience to the park. They were clearly ignored which is actually pretty sad. I happy to talk with a manager who is somehow interested what is happening in their park.

Went here with my 7 year old daughter. We spent 2 hours at the park, which was enough time to try most things.
If you've been to water parks in Southern Europe or USA you'll find this quite average, but for the short summer season in Finland it's better than nothing.
Some of the facilities are a bit dated and could be in better condition - but I expect with that short season there isn't a lot of spare cash for improvements.

My 2-yr old went to the kids slide (<1m high), slipped on the first step and almost cracked his skull. The slide and pool were intended for little kids. I was 1m away, but still couldn't grab him on time. The wet steps had no anti-slip surface whatsoever, they were as slippery as wet ice. Furthermore there was no rail or anything to grab.

To make matters worse, there were no qualified adults to help with first aid, just pimple-faced teens with next to no preparedness to handle an injury. One of them admitted to having a 1-day training in first aid. Their lack of readiness and skills when faced with a kid bleeding from nose and mouth was pretty telling: in a real emergency, these "kids" employed by the park would be next to useless. And that is not their fault. It takes experience and age to handle a situation like this. I blame the Jukupark owners for such a disgraceful lack of preparedness and lack of adults.

Visitors should also be aware that since Kalajoki is a such a sad little place, medical services didn't answer their phone at 15:30 on a monday even though website claimed local health center to be open until 16:00. We ended up driving 55 km (1 hour) to Kokkola hospital, where bits of the glass fibre stairs were removed from the gums of my kid - that is how hard the impact was.

IF there ever is a really bad situation at Jukupark under similar circumstances, eg. open fracture with lots of bleeding, that person will be in serious danger.

The childrens slides at Jukupark are downright dangerous because there is zero thought given to how a small kid goes up those stairs safely. No grip, no rails. There is no landing at the top. If you are at the back, you can't go to the other side to receive your kid. If you go to the front side, they are in danger of slipping on the stairs. Whatever you do, its dangerous for a kid.

Our family visited this park. Wow!!! Kids loved all the water slides and machines. If you are nearby and day is warm at summer don't pass.
