I visited along with my son to this place and we both didn't like this due to to reasons - not enough things are kept inside to explain about Arakkal Dynasty and really not the worth of money. Only good part is some written information...More

It is a two story wooden floor building converted into a mesum. It has few paintings, utensils furniture, telephone, musical instruments, oil lamps of that era on display. You will not miss much if you don't visit this place.

This museum is owned by the muslim royal family of the malabar region. It is located bang on the main road a short distance from the St Angelos fort, having done the fort visit u can venture just a short distance from the district hospital...More

must visit to see the only muslim royal family museum in south india. nice artefacts. paintings are beautiful. be sure to remove your footwear prior to entering.
