Paithalmala is the highest peak in Kannur district with an elevation of about 1200 msl and is located approx. 60 kms away from Kannur town. It has been emerging as a very popular destination in the recent years thanks to social media. It is a long trek to the hills through the forest trail and takes around 1-2 hours. View... More

It's a place for adventure loving youth men and women and not for the ones who are not healthy . Trekking and hilltop view is awesome. You should carry water and food with you. No food and water is available. You can drink water in forest at your own risk. It's good for young ppl.

Super place with no disturbance . Go early in the morning so that the fog can be enjoyed . There is a bus from kannur ksrtc to paithalmala at 7.00am . From the last bus stop you will have to walk 2-3 Km then you will see a forest office , from there there is 2.5km trekking through dense forest... More

We went to this place searching Google and then found it a excellent place for nature lovers. This is a garden on top of the world full green and breeze. We would suggest travellers go with a nice trekking shoes and also have enough water, salt / dettol for lyches and dehydration drinks. Overall excellent experience with lovely picture and... More

Best hill station to visit with friends and family.Walking towards the viewpoint inside the dense forest was an awesome experience.small small waterfalls are there throughout the walkway. Its little risky to visit in June month. Its comfortable From October to March.

This is one of the best spot for trekkers in North Kerala. This place is ideal for rain trekking. Paithalmala is about 60 kms from Kannur. Apart from a forest check post at the entrance, there is nothing on top. This misty hill is an ideal place for small groups and people who like quiet and serene atmosphere.
