A first-class operation but we found that the guide can only go as far and as fast as the slowest members of the group can manage. Saw that the other Wilsons group that left at the same time as us did MUCH more than our group that was hampered by a couple of Polish visitors who were, uh, freelancing a... More

As a 1st experience, we took the half-day kayaking option. It was Wonderful! Thanks to our guide Jeremy, we had a really great day with no stress (despite our lack of experience). He shared his knowledge with us, both in kayaking and on the Abel Tasman National Park. I highly recommend it ! Merci à Jeremy, notre guide pour cette... More

Despite the wet weekend, we had a great time on the Abel Tasman. On the kayaking day it was wettest but our guides still insisted that we kayak out to Tonga Island to see the seals. There are plenty of them lying all over the rocks. For the rest of the hike, there is excellent accommodation, ensuites in all bedrooms,... More

We just wrapped-up an excellent 3-days in Abel Tasman with Wilsons, having been well-taken care of from booking to bus transportation from Nelson, guided kayaking two days, hiking several times, fantastic meals morning & night at their small luxury inns in the park, wildlife, flora, stunning golden beeches and views that will remain as wonderful memories of beautiful NZ. Their... More

We used Wilsons for our transit onto and off of the Abel Tasman track and they did a great job. We chose to hike from Mendels Bay to Anchorage Bay, which is supposed to be a four hour hike. We are glad we chose to allow six hours between drop off and pick up, because we didn't have to rush... More

I was able to hike, kayak, hang on the beach, watch sunrise, stay in nice lodges, eat good food, meet fun people, learn about the local history, plants and animals and Maori culture from the guides, see seals in natural habitat. Guides Sarah, Scottie and Paddy were friendly, knowledgeable and worked their butts off for us! Only thing I would... More

The logistics is perfect and itineraries within the park very well organized. The monitors are very professional and always willing to help and give appropriate explanations. Dinning and breakfast at the lodges is excellent. The only area for improvement are the beds in the lodges.

The initial booking went smoothly despite some problems with banking software. Good suggestions made about how our trip could be managed with various boat and walk options offered. The trip logistics were handled really well with our suitcase turning up at the right place on the trip out and back. The commentary on the boat was a little on the... More

We took the 3 day, 2 night package walking the Abel Tasman Track from Marahau to Totaranui. Our guide Garick was well informed about the flora and fauna, as well as any historical and environmental aspect. The staff at the lodges were nice people and friendly. The evening meal prepared by them was good standard, actually considering that we were... More

We did the 3-day kayaking/hiking lodge option. We had a great group of 13 guests with 2 fantastic guides--Whitey and Caleb. The sea kayaking on the first day had a crazy segment called the "Mad Mile", made even more exciting by the unusual easterly wind, but was otherwise reasonably mellow even for beginners. The hikes varied from more lush to... More
