Beautiful Mosque, Beautiful Recitation, Very Welcoming
Aug 2020 • Couples
Visited the Mosque for Friday Prayers. The masjid is beautiful and the people are very friendly & welcoming, there was a real buzz outside after the prayers.

Friday prayers were at 13:15 but you should arrive earlier to guarantee a place inside. I believe there is a second prayer afterwards too but not entirely sure.

The Mosque is open to both men & women.

We caught the bus from St Julians which took 40 minutes. A friendly brother offered us a lift back and this only took 10 minutes. It was very nice to meet the Maltese Muslim community.

Only known mosque in Malta
Apr 2019
I had the pleasure of visiting this mosque for Jumaah on my visit to Malta around late April. The mosque is located in Paola which is not too far from Valletta. The mosque is nice and reasonably clean, looked well maintained as well. You would still have to catch a bus/taxi if you are staying in Valletta, Sliema or St.Julians but it was worth a visit as a Muslim

We were on holiday in Malta and needed to pray jummah. We found this mosque quite easily. It is a beautiful place with a lovely dome. It was packed on Friday. However parking was quite easily found about 2 minutes from the mosque. Don’t try to park at the mosque car park it’s usually full

Lovely mosque and facilities for all
Aug 2017 • Couples
My husband and I managed to find a bus from Valetta, with the help,of someone who was making his way there too, for Friday prayers. It's only a couple of minutes walk from where the bus drops you in Paola. The mosque had prayer and washing facilities for both men and women and it has a lovely warm atmosphere.
Added to that was the bonus of the local Arab families bringing along nag homemade food to see form their car boots in the car park. We managed to have a surprise delicious homemade lunch following the afternoon prayer!

Probably the only one mosque in Malta!
May 2018 • Friends
Quite distant from Valletta but woth a visit if you are interested in mosques or have read the history of this mosque before.

Also called Paola Mosque. Mariam Al-Batool Mosque is the only officially recognized and mosque-designed structure in Malta.

The construction on the mosque started in 1978 and finished in 1982 when it was opened to the public.

This mosque is located on the hill within the neighborhood of Paola, which is quite a distance from Valletta. This green colour structure is located next to Triq Kordin Road, opposite of the MCAST Institute of Information & Communication Technology

The first stone of the mosque was laid by Muammar Gaddafi in 1978 and its doors were open to the public in 1982, and officiated in 1984. The initial scope of the building was to serve the Muslims in Malta, at the time mainly economic migrants from Libya, and to promote conversions to Sunni Islam among the Maltese society.
