Biggest and grandest
Jan 2020 • Solo
This church is a very grand 7 pillar church. Malta has a church almost on every block. This Paul church seems the biggest and grandest of all. You just cant pass by without taking a photo or saying wow. It is truly a remarkable and beautiful church.

Beautiful and Breathe Taking
Nov 2019
This Roman Catholic church was built in the 1930s and serves as the largest church in Malta. Similar to the Church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, visitors can climb its spires and ring its large bells. Paola Parish Church of Christ the King is located near the Hypogeum and Tarxien Temples, easily accessible by public transport. The church also sits near a town square with delicious food options and cafes to sit and listen to its powerful bells.

This church is the largest church on the islands. Extensive embellishment works has rendered this church a gem worth visiting in Paola.

It is easily reachable by public transport.

Bigger Than Some Cathedrals
May 2019 • Solo
For a church, this building is huge. There's a lot of construction work going on outside along the the south wall of the building and one of the towers. Apparently it is one of the largest churches in Europe. Relatively young in that services were first held here in 1936, but it looks much older. I recommend going inside. Entry is not permissible until the evening.

Grand building

Didn't enter this church, but it sits prominently within the main town area and can't be missed with its huge columns. Undergoing some slight restoration on one of the towers at the moment.

Large Paola church
Oct 2018 • Solo
Paola church is actually very very large. It occupies a whole block and is quite cavernous. This is probably its redeeming characteristic as since it is of recent origin is not embellished in any impressive way. Nonetheless its worth a quick visit once you are in the area.

Largest church in Malta
Sep 2018 • Family
This is the largest church you can find in Malta. Throughout the years it has been drastically refurbished. Lately beautiful drawings have been done on the walls and these made it much more attractive. A landmark that I would recommend to visit if you are in the whereabouts, especially if you are visiting Hal Saflieni Hypogeum or Tarxien Temples as this is only around 7 minutes away by foot.

Christ the King Church, Paola
Mar 2018 • Family
The parish of Paola or as it more commonly known as Raħal Ġdid, was created in 1910 by Archbishop Pietro Pace. The 17th century St. Ubaldesca Church was chosen as the parish church. Plans were made for a larger church to be built. In 1924 the cornerstone was slaid and thus construction commenced. The church started to be used as the parish church 1936. The church was consecrated and dedicated to Christ the King on June 3, 1967 by Archbishop Mikiel Gonzi.
