The trip to a partially functioning mine was the first experience of this kind in my life. It was actually styled in the theme of Halloween, so we had a full program with the quest adventure, which ended with a dinner in the restaurant located right there - in the mine. I was there with my boyfriend and his parents... More

Quite good to find. You should prepare to go underground and walk there for a while. A little bit too much touristic with plastic exhibition etc. But still quite interesting to visit. You can visit it only with guided tour at certain times of the day.

The mine is partially still functioning. The area under the town is really large and deep. Some spaces are unbelievable huge. Interesting and unusual - and if the day is too warm, it is always quite cool down there (take enough clothes...)

In fact, the mine is so clean that the city takes most of its drinking water from the mine! The water is filtered in a sand-filter and then pumped into the... More

Our smiling guide Katri was driving me and my Chinese colleague downwards along one of those mine roads into the depth of the still-running limestone mine. We landed in front of the entrance of the mine museum, knocked the door with an echo. Exicting to be down and walk and see what there down. Limestone was heard to have several... More
