I am Virve Haahti - tourist guide, independent travel and tourism professional, dancer, great friend of art and culture. I am official tourist guide by Finland Guide Association and member of Lohja Guide Club. I have worked thirty years in travel & tourism and financial business. I have worked as tourist guide in Lago di Garda in Italy, as round trip guide in Austria and Hungary and as ski guide in the Alps in Austria. In the hospitality business I have worked in Finland and Germany. I am working as freelancer and independent entrepreneur. Now I am guiding in my home country, Finland in the south coast of Finland, one hour drive west from Helsinki. Guided tours are available all year long. Tours and prices are seen at my website. Our tour of the King's Road with Virve was the highlight of our trip to Finnland. She picked us up at our hotel in Turku in the morning. From there, we drove through the Finnish countryside, learning about history, architecture, and even a bit of geology. We visited some lovely old churches. We especially enjoyed our walk through Fiskars Village, where we had a chance to see the work of local artisans. We also bought some souvenirs and had a delicious lunch there.
In the afternoon, we strolled through the grounds of an old iron mill. We were expecting an industrial site, but instead we were surprised to see an idyllic place near a lake. It was beautiful! Our last stop was a quaint roadside cafe for freshly baked carrot cake. The day ended when she dropped us off at our next hotel in Helsinki.
Virve is delightful, and her enthusiasm for Finnland made the tour really fun. It was an unforgettable day. I would recommend a tour with Virve to anyone who enjoys getting off the beaten path and chatting with a friendly and knowledgable local person.

It's such a wonderful experience to hear historical references and details about important places.
Our guide, Virve Haahti was well-organized and conducted a pleasant tour which was very interesting and fun.
She is adaptable to situational needs, as in our case one of the tour guests required special assistance & had limited mobility. All went well!
People of all ages would benefit from the use of a private guided tour.
Lohja itself is a vibrant ancient town with loads of interesting things to do & see.
I recommend visiting Lohja to everyone - you will have a wonderful time!

Ms virve was an amazing guide!! She is so sweet and informative and took to me to the best places in lohja! She's also a very lovely person to chat with and gave me some pointers on places to visit next! If i ever come back to finland she's the one to go to
