Fairly small beach. Does not get too busy. Better taking your own beach chairs / towels rather than going on the beach sun beds which are far too close together. A really good beach with fine sand and a gradual slope of he beach so...More

Such a beautiful place let down by the lack of upkeep here. Untended, dry and overgrown green areas, peeling paints, broken pathways, poorly lit streets, unkempt sea front establishments. Pity.

I spent a week here in late November for golf and relaxation, and with great weather, great food and friends it was a lovely experience.

Smallish, reasonably clean beach flanked both ends by rocks. The big rock at the eastern end is painterly, composed of different strata - worth seeing at sunset, when it begins to glow. Enjoy.

Fabulous place with great people. People in the village are warm and welcoming. Beach is great and bars and restaurants are superb. Great place in low season

So many amazing beaches in the Algarve and Praia de Luz Portugal is to exception to the rule. October had temperatures in the mid thirty celcius rather unseasonable and the water was nice. Golden sands and cliffs, gentle slope into the water.

Luz is a small village, not particularly beautiful or much character and there isn't much there. The promenade is nice but again, there isn't much to do or shops to browse around. A couple of restaurants and cafes doted around. The beach is nice, good...More

Not too crowded with a lot of nice eatingplaces around. Even though it was a bit off season it was plenty of things to choose from as well as sunbeds to rent.

Liked this beach alot. Waves not as powerful as some other beaches which made it a good place for a swim. Surf school at one end but beach is long enough to accommodate it. Sand was fine without the big chunks of shells you find...More

In October the beach was still very nice and the weather was really warm. It was quite easy to find sunbeds to rent.

Lagos is nearby and is steeped in history as the origins of the slave trade in Europe. There are boat trips from there too. Sayers is a short drive away and is historically the end of the known world!

Sorry I can't answer your query but might I suggest you speak with the lifeguards or watersport people whilst you are there. Any of the locals will do all they can to accommodate the tourists so please ask around.
