The forest has a wonderful spiritual feel to it, but there's not a huge amount to see. We took the long and half very bumpy road south from Diani in a tuktuk. It's a lot further than we expected, and a bit of a let...More

Great guided tour through the forest. But call and prebook or no guides may be there. Avoid midday heat and go in the morning or late afternoon. Takes 1.5 hours.

I have never visited such a place rich in cultural heritage as well as sacred ambience on it. The respect that's upheld at this kaya makes you do some soul searching. One has to tie a black kanga as a sign of respect to the...More

Kaya Kinondo is an unusual experience. It is a small forest which used to be the main centre of civilisation in this area where the people would use all the trees for food and medecine. Ancient customs still exist like wearing a black cloak to...More

Kaya kinonda is a day excursion not a hotel. however - there are several facilities within galu kinondo. you could get a great bargain considering diani is not exactly very busy right now.
