Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My personal feeling was that they only think about making money on tourists thinking that "they are tourists that we will not see them again".

They were rude and their rents are extremely expensive compared to the prices on the island. For example they asked 18€ for a single-seater kayak and 25€ for a double per hour while in Paleokastritsa I paid only 3€ for the single-seater and 4€ for the double (the beach of Paleokastritsa is much more famous and touristic than the beach of Avlaki!). The same goes for sailing boats: 45€ per hour while on the beach of St. Georges the same boat is rented for 20€!

It is incredible the great difference in price for the same boats during the same summer season (august). Congratulations, this is the best way to make tourists go away.

Everything! A great beach and picturesque cove, Taverna nearby by but above all helpful, professional staff who will give you lots of help especially if you are a beginner. Paddle boarding, kayaking and dinghy sailing are a must. If you’re a learner paddleboarder, top tip is go in the morning before that strong afternoon wind gets up, and dinghy sailing is best in the afternoon.
We’re coming back next year!!
The boats and boards are booked by the hour and were a great addition to our holiday. We went back three times. Thanks lads!

Thankyou Gone W for your kind comments. I am pleased our service and attention was a great addition to your holiday. We do try to provide a range of equipment to suit varied abilities and are always willing to help. The 'lads' will certainly be encouraged by your appreciation. Yours, Jan

We had a great time using the paddle boards at Avlaki beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were given a little tutorial and off we went. Had so much fun and seeing my dad constantly fall off was hilarious. Great fun family thing to do. These things do get booked up so worth booking a time slot when you arrive.

Two days sailing course (pico), which was great. After 2 days I felt confident to rent my own sailing boat. Thanks for that Jan and Tom!
We will come back.

We had a great experience with Jan who showed great patience with my 2 teenagers teaching them dingy sailing and then windsurfing.

Fantastic location with calm conditions in the morning and freshening winds in the afternoon that you could set your watch by. This allowed complete novices to start learning in easy conditions and then start to build their capability.

I would have no hesitation recommending both Jan (the owner) and the location.

Corfu Sailing Centre is ideally placed next to this idyllic pebble beach. Jan has a very nice way of teaching which is both accurate and relaxed. We arrived as windsurf novices and after a short time we were moving across the bay at gradually increasing speeds. All the equipment was in good condition and the location was easy to find due to its sign next to the road running along the beach.

After our 4 hours learning we had learned a lot and the fun was evident because it only felt like about 2.5 hours.

There are several other facilities at the beach, so you can rinse off under a shower and pop to a taverna for lunch.

Jan has a great set-up at the centre with many other items of water sports equipment. Everyone else looked like they were having fun too.
