We were there on weekdays at 9-ish am. so we were the only people there. I wouldn't imagine this park being as famous as Sukhothai Historical Park. If you are introvert, like to contemplate and not passing through Sukhothai, this is a good substitute. They got the swaying Buddha as well though not as beautiful and intact as Sukhothai's.

This historical park is a must see not only for the once thriving city that was there but because you will practically have the park to yourself! It reminded me a little of Gettysburg and how you can drive through and stop at monuments so if you’re mobility challenged this is a great opportunity to see some fantastic ruins without... More

This compact historical park has a nice mix of Sukhothai and Ayutthaya-style buildings in various states of decay and renovation. The area and buildings amidst huge trees are freely accessible for admiration and some serious photography. Definitely recommended.

We stopped at Kamphaeng Phet on the way from Bankok to Sukhothai and wondered around this tranquil UNESCO World Heritage listed historical park which is well worth a visit for history buffs.

It seems that this unesco world herritage site is less known by the foreign tourists, which... More

The park is quite big, quiet and interesting to see. Right now the entrance is free (just for a few months I think). Definitely you should stop by during your visit.

What a relief to experience a piece of Thai history without hundreds of others. Such a find with beautiful Buddhas restored and ancient ruins within the walled city. Experience this in the morning or late afternoon to capture the best light for this wonderful photos.
