This was definitely one of the highlights of our family trip. The hike up to the tre cime was gorgeous and the views up there were incredible. Would recommend! Unfortunately we didn't get to see much snow, but we want to return after a heavy snow season!

We booked a 'Dolomites and Cortrina Full Day Trip from Venice tour,' organized by a company by the name City Discovery (DAVI528219). The date was in the middle of December 2016. On the Internet page it was promised that “in the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, at an altitude of 7500 feet, we will gaze out across a myriad of peaks... More

Even at the beginning, your eyes slide along the colorful ridges and slopes of the valley, magnetized towards a bright emerald lake in the distance. Throughout every turn, hikers were gifted a new view of the Dolomiti giants confidently looming at every angle. The low-hanging gloom wasn’t the best for photography, but the way the mountains pierced through the fog... More

The Tre Cime di Laverado are one of the most iconic and compelling views in Italy, if not all of Europe, a must see location, and a significant player in the history of modern alpinism.

It costs 25 Euro per car to gain entry to Tre Cimie. For us, with all of the woderous places to view near Ortesei, it was not worth the 25 Euro and 90 minute drive to see Tre Cime. we have scratched it off our bucket list, will not return, and do not reccomend it.We were there on a weekday... Went for a great walk. The views were fantastic. Very grateful for the refuges selling drinks as it was a very hot day in June. Wish we had arrived earlier and spent more time there.

We visited Tre Cime as a part of a 6 day hiking trip on the Cortina Circuit. We stayed in Lago Di Misurina, and took the bus up to the spot and spent a few hours wandering. Stunning views all around. We ate lunch at the rifugio there (some were closed as it was late September) and took amazing pictures.... More

Unfortunately the pass to the Drei Sinnen was closed during our trip to the Dolomites in May :-( A very confusion situation at the start of the pass with almost no information provided, except for road blocks and toll booths with clear NO-GO-signs, which were being passed by large crowds of mostly Italians...

Car not necessary if visiting from Cortina. The Dolomiti Bus service from the Cortina bus station will take you. Best to go early and check return schedule so you don't get stranded. If you can't make the complete circle walk, there are many overlooks with great views. You won't be disappointed.

Try visiting this place when the hordes of tourists are not present - i.e. late May/early June. Beautiful pink hued rocky mountains, fresh air, stunning scenery & a beautiful place to go for a walk.
